About Me

I am a citizen of the world, a dreamer, and a doer.  My parents gifted me the experience of living abroad in Argentina for 4 years during Middle-High School.  My dad's job later brought him to France where my family was able to live in a historic Parisian home for 2 years.  While I was born a Buckeye in Columbus Ohio (go bucks), I spent 8 years in Michigan, graduated high school in Brighton and graduated with a BA and later an MSW from The University of Michigan (go blue).  I am now a Columbus resident again, starting my life as the future Mrs. Groh with my handsome fella and our awesome but naughty puppy dog.

My experiences have created passion within me, dreams within me, and a drive that keeps me pursuing my goals.  My mom taught me that I am in control of my happiness-- I have to CHOOSE to be happy as it does not come FREE or EASY.  My mom was the strongest person you could ever meet.  And while a lot of people say that of their mother's, I am serious.  My mother beat cancer once (a rare, aggressive, nasty cancer at that), and gave cancer a run for its money the second time around.  She fought harder than she should have been able to-- and not because doctor's helped her, but because she had an internal strength incomparable to anything else.  Her drive has taught me how to dream.  How to live.

I am a social worker by day and a dreamer by night.  My day job is not glamorous.  It is hard, dirty (literally) and difficult (there are no words).  But I know that the work I do is getting me closer to living in the world that I dream of:
EQUALITY- PROSPERITY-LOVE
