My Most Tiredest Day

People always complain about Monday's, and let me tell ya... I don't really like them either. But I really don't think that they are the worst.  Last week on Wednesday morning I asked Christopher what day it was, and then told him that it was my most tiredest day. And I think Wednesday may be the worst of the worst.  My sister agrees.  When you wake up Wednesday you think that the week is almost done, but it really isn't.  And then that day lasts so flipping long. And then on Thursday you wake up and you feel like THAT is your most tiredest day ever.  But the good thing about Thursday is that the week is almost over.  But the tricky thing about Thursday is that by the end of the day you will often be eating dinner Thursday night thinking it SHOULD be Friday because the day before was so effing awful (damn wednesdays).

Work weeks suck ass.  Good luck y'all.

Missed Opportunity

Guess what I just found out?  Well, I kinda new this already..but not the little details...

So everyone knows I've nannied for several families over the past 4-5 years, and have been babysitting since I was 10.  For real.  It has been a guaranteed source of income for me because there are ALWAYS families looking for babysitters or nannies...and it has been an awesome job while being in college because of the flexibility.

International nannying has always been something I've concerned, but have never really looked in to.  There's a lot of paperwork, and at times lots of logistics to figure out the payment/rent ratio.  I was always interested in making more money rather than making less money in exchange for free rent because of the difficult task of making time off, time off.

SO TRUE
I was reading some websites recently and found out that people were making anywhere from $30-60K a year nannying overseas.  The range is because number of hours and location vary for each person, obviously.  That is a lot a lot of money.  And taking just a year off between undergrad and grad school would have paid for my graduate career.  Easily.  So why did I not do this?!?!

Before putting in your deposit for grad school, make sure you are completely educated on how much it will really cost you.  I am working so hard to make sure I do not end up with copious amounts of debt in the form of student loans...I don't want to be 40 and still paying school off...

Even though I didn't choose to go overseas to work, I will make the best of my opportunities here to keep the amount I pay out of pocket up and the amount I borrow low!!!

All of my Children

I nanny.  A lot.  For a lot of people.  And I love these kids.  These are the children I see the most.  [Not pictured: Anthony]

Nannies are like heroes, for the difference that they make...For   investing more than hours, for giving more than they take.

Thank you to our nanny, who gives her life each day...
In service to our children, to show them a better way.

LAUNDRY

It's a chore that SO many hate and one that is unavoidable, as well*.

I actually don't mind laundry.  I LOVE the smell of clean clothes, I LOVE finding clothes I had forgotten about since they've been dirty for weeks and I LOVE folding laundry.  So what's the problem?

* unless you're a nudist
At work I do laundry every day.  I'd say at least 2 loads a day.  2 loads of washing, drying, and putting away.  By the time I get home, the LAST thing I want to do is wash my own clothes.  Let alone fold them and putting them away (the WORST part).

Alas, I am bombarded with the task of laundry tonight as I pack for 5 days worth of boating joyous vacation!  I seriously am so excited for a break from life and so anxious to get down there!  Woot for Lake Cumberland!
